I composed a new piece!

It was not an easy birth.

I went through all kinds of big changes this year, among them a painful separation from my partner and also from my daughter who went with her to live far, far away from here.

The emotions that arise following the breakup are hard for me to feel. I let them slowly and gradually, and in the meantime it mostly feels like a heavy and sticky goo that keeps my heart from opening.

I composed this music, and also illustrated the illustration that accompanies it, paying attention to this heaviness in my heart.

Engaging in this piece helped me to connect and relieve the pain a bit.
